Fatima Jinnah was the sister of Mr.Mohammad Ali Jinnah. She is known as "Khatun -e - Pakistan" (Lady of Pakistan) and "Madar-e-Millat"( Mother of the nation). She was a dental surgeon and used to run her own dental clinic in Bombay, India.
Reason for inspiration:
Fatima Jinnah supported his brother Mr.Jinnah in Pakistan movement, wherever he went, she went along with him teaching Muslim women to stand and come forward for the cause. She formed Women Relief Committee and also helped the immigrants from India to settle in Pakistan.
She wrote in press and delivered effective speeches that motivated the women of sub-continent to unite together for Pakistan movement.
Mr.Jinnah said about his sister "My sister was like a bright ray of light and hope whenever I came back home and met her. Anxieties would have been much greater and my health much worse, but for the restraint imposed by her".
The train by which she was coming to Pakistan was named as "Freedom Special" and the train got 22 hours late because people at every station pulled the emergency cord and requested Miss.Fatima Jinnah to speak few words. This truly depicts how much people loved her.
