The weight of the raindrops

The silence is heavier than any harsh words that you may say
the day is even darker than any night I have ever known
when the truth is so loud
leaving behind no shadow of doubt
no space, no place for benefit of doubt
my hands are all covered in blisters
when things are going well, nothing else matters
when you’re struggling though, even the weight of the raindrops
hits the eyes, heart and hope so hard, just adds more confusion to the fog
The weight of the raindrops
may be so strong to wash your dreams and hopes

You can wake up from a dream but not from reality
some mistakes and regrets can take so long I never thought
they seem to repel all the future happiness, keep prolonging the past
when words fall scarce and the noise is everywhere
it’s so hard to reveal the truth when the energy is all drowned
every little flame of light that I try to put in this dark
is extinguised that very minute by the weight of the raindrops
am surrounded by the resulting smog and fog
The weight of the raindrops
may be so strong to crash your dreams and hopes
