Few moments of separation

I stand in a telephone booth
catch the raindrops and whoop
your and mine name like a young boy
what is in love that brings so much of joy
wishing you were here next to my heart
it’s so hard my dear to live apart
staying together sometimes doesn’t speak much
about the intensity of love as much
as few moments of separation
which makes even a little time appear a lot
I long to see you soon, it’s what I pray to my God

I still remember your rosy smile
when you read those poems I wrote for you
when you used to hold the red rose that I placed in your books
our love has grown from a plant to a tree
I walk to the booth to call your number
with every tone I’m thinking hard what to talk about
my mind doesn’t get a point to talk about
but the heart has many
staying together sometimes doesn’t tell much
about the intensity of love as much
as few moments of separation
which makes even a little time appear a lot
I long to see you soon, it’s what I pray to my God
