The wounds that run deep

Am walking on a road full of fallen leaves
it’s been ages I have been unable to sleep
failed after trying what you call faith’s leap
living now with the wounds that run deep
every breath the pain penetrates and seeps
The wounds that run deep
my happiness and joys that are now buried under sorrowful heap

To forget each other we need time
thinking and missing you has become a crime
as I sit to write this poem, there’s nothing that rhymes
some stitches in time can never save the destined nine
so here I’m living with the wounds that run deep
every breath the pain penetrates and seeps
The wounds that run deep
my happiness and joys that are now buried under sorrowful heap
