An evening like this

An evening like this , I never thought would come
when load to carry on my shoulders and heart would become
so much for me to bear
when no one would want to hear
to any word, any justification that I intend to make
An evening like this, I never thought would ever come
when silent would be every lane, every road
with the voice of only few unjustifiable words, those heavy goads
ready to fill in the air around me
too sharp to kill all the emotions inside me
to take a single step, would I be thinking a million times
I never thought, an evening like this would ever come

I’m blamed so easily for all the gaps, all the mishaps
for all the breaks and the heartaches
I wish if anyone knew what it takes
to still breathe when the air of the world seems fake
an evening like this, I never thought would come
when being still in my family and friends, I’d be lonesome
An evening like this, I never thought would come
when the darkness of a winter night would even seem brighter
when the distances would never seem to get lessen
may be I’ll have to walk all the way till last breath
and still never reach my nest
I never thought, an evening like this would ever come
